This page describes the design, management and maintenance of the website www.waitomo.govt.nz owned and operated by the Waitomo District Council, Te Kuiti, New Zealand.

Website provides information about Council services

This website is intended to provide information about the Waitomo District Council and the services it provides to the residents and citizens of the Waitomo District community. A database-driven content management system is used with dynamic menu navigation to increase speed of operation. The site content, structure and ongoing maintenance is carried out by the Waitomo District Council.

You can send your comments or suggestions to the Website Manager: waitomodc@waitomo.govt.nz. In the 2011 ALGIM Local Government Website Awards, This site  was ranked 60 out of the 78 other local government websites.

Design and Production

The website was designed and developed by Waitomo District Council in conjunction with Intergen Ltd. This version of the website went live on 18 June 2010.

Web Standard Compliance

This website substantially complies with the New Zealand Government Web Standards v2.0 where appropriate for local authorities. There is no user-generated content or user login features requiring authentication currently available on the site.
