AA Express
Council undertakes this function, as an Agent to the Automobile Association (AA) to ensure that the Waitomo District Community can access a wide range of services such as driver licensing services. Having an AA agency within the Waitomo District enables residents of not only Te Kuiti but neighbouring Districts as well, to benefit from the local delivery of a wide range of services (see below).

Electronic Driver Licence application tests are performed everyday between 8.30am and 3.45pm
As there is only one booking available every half hour you must pre-book. Strict terms are applied should an applicant wish to cancel or change their theory test date.
Driver Licencing
Class 1 (car), Classes 2,3,4,5 (heavy vehicle), class 6 (motorcycle) and endorsements.
Pratical Driving Tests
The full practical driving tests for class 1 (car) and class 6 (motorcycle) can be booked by us but cannot be taken in Te Kuiti. Te Awamutu is the closest location.
