Te Kuiti Development Incorporated
The Te Kuiti Development Incorporated has developed a Strategic Plan to address the many opportunities identified to strengthen 'main street' Te Kuiti and ensure the 'Te Kuiti Business space' is an excellent place to do business, provide a safe space and an attractive pleasant environment for visitors and shoppers alike.
The Strategic Plan takes a 3 to 5 year view of a range of opportunities for future improvement and development. The Plan is broken down into three component parts (or Headings) and the Infrastructure and the Events and Promotions parts are in turn broken down into three timelines; short term, medium term and long term.
Ms Elizabeth Anglesey and Ms Sue Sarich on behalf of Te Kuiti Development Incorporated presented the Strategic Plan to the Council, at the August 2010 Council meeting. The Council warmly received the plan.
The Plan proposes a role for WDC to work with Te Kuiti Development Incorporated in achieving the vision and in the delivery of some of the objectives. The Council welcomed the ongoing opportunity to work together, which will in turn assist the successful implementation of Council's own Community Development Strategy, adopted in June 2010.
