Waitomo District Christmas Parade

This year’s Waitomo District Christmas Parade went off with a bang with record crowds and a record number of 23 floats.  Float entrants really got behind the theme of a ‘Recycled Christmas’ and there were some wonderful float ideas which can be seen by clicking here to view the image gallery of the Christmas Parade.

Results of the Float Competition

Best Business Float: 1st place - Bank of New Zealand, 2nd Place - Cantik Living, 3rd Place - R H Tregoweth.

Best School/ Education Float: 1st Place - Pukenui Primary School, 2nd Place - Creative Kids, 3rd Place - Rangitoto School.

Best Club/ Community Group/ Organisation Float: 1st Place - Red Hot Nana's, 2nd Place - King Country Kickboxing Club, 3rd Place - Te Kuiti Hospital.

AND THE WINNER OF THE ULTIMATE SHIELD (Best overall float): Pukenui Primary School.
