Resident Satisfaction Survey

Every year Waitomo District Council surveys residents of the District to better understand community views on the delivery of services and facilities.  Some of the Council services and activities covered by the survey are roads and footpaths, cemeteries, public toilets, library and aquatic centre.

The survey results are included in WDC’s annual report, and measure our performance and identify priorities for improvement.

2019 Resident Survey

Waitomo District Council (WDC) with help of Versus Research Ltd will carry out the annual Residents Survey during May - June 2019.

WDC is committed to delivering a high level of service to the community. Our survey will measure and monitor community satisfaction with Council performance and the services and facilities provided including roads, footpaths, water, refuse, recycling and sewerage.

The survey provides an annual measure of resident and ratepayer satisfaction with the Council, in relation to key performance measures set by the Long Term Plan 2018-28, that can be utilised to inform and enhance Council performance long term.

Residents will be sent an invitation to participate online or will be contacted directly via a telephone survey.

If you would prefer to complete a paper survey, you can collect one from the WDC Office Queen St, Waitomo District Library on Taupiri St, or the Visitor Information Centre on Rora St.  If you have any questions, please contact the Waitomo District Council Customer Services team on (07) 878 0800 or email

Provide feedback by 5 pm, Friday 14 June and go into the draw to win a $250 New World voucher.

2018 Resident Survey

The annual survey is an important reporting method used by WDC to measure how we perform against our goals and to analyse trends over time to help with our future planning.
