Long Term Plan

The LTP provides a long term strategy for the ongoing delivery of services to the Waitomo District Community over the next 10 years. The development of that LTP provides provides opportunity for the Waitomo District community to participate in the process. The adopted LTP also provides a means by which the community may monitor the effectiveness of Council’s service delivery decisions over time.

Draft Long Term Plan 2012-2022

The draft LTP is a comprehensive document which is interlinked and solutions focussed. In deciding on the proposals, Council has tried hard to strike a careful balance between prudent financial practices, affordability of rates and meeting the needs and demands of the District community.

It is important that you let us know your views on the proposed way forward and the specific proposals in the draft LTP. Have we got it right in understanding your needs and also those of future ratepayers.

Overall, do you think the draft Plan is heading in the right direction?

The draft 2012-22 LTP is open for public consultation over the period beginning Thursday 26 April 2012 to Monday 28 May 2012.
