Sewerage Disposal

The purpose of this Activity is to provide for the safe and efficient collection, treatment and disposal of urban sanitary waste.

Council's aim is to protect community health and facilitate economic well-being (by meeting commercial disposal needs) and assisting development opportunities, while protecting the natural environment.

Sewerage disposal schemes are provided at Te Kuiti, Benneydale and Te Waitere with a new scheme under construction for the Piopio township. 

Water Services Bylaw 2010

The Water Services Bylaw was adopted by Council on 10 February 2010.
