Waitomo District welcomes new Citizens

Two people became New Zealand citizens at a Citizenship Ceremony officiated by Mayor John Robertson at the Waitomo District Council Chambers on Thursday 5 December 2019.

Mayor Robertson welcomed the two Applicants and presented them both with their New Zealand Citizenship Certificates following the taking of Oaths in front of family and friends.  The new citizens came from the Philippines and UK.

The formal Citizenship Ceremony is an important step in the process of becoming a New Zealand citizen.  A morning tea was held following the Ceremony to mark the occasion.
