Council provides housing in the form of affordable housing for elderly persons and currently holds a small number of miscellaneous housing rental units.

There are currently 20 elderly person housing units all located on one site, in Te Kuiti. Council's provision of  Elderly Person Housing in the Waitomo District, benefits the occupants and their family and friends, by providing affordable and appropriate housing located in close proximity to the Te Kuiti Central Business District and easy access to health support services.
