Funding and Grants

We provide funding and grants to our community with the goal of assisting Community Groups and Organisations within our district to  deliver of a range of social services that collectively contribute to the social and cultural well-being of the community.

Waitomo District Council has realigned the way it will administer funding grants to the community.

On 1 July 2021, the Community and Partnerships Fund Policy came into effect, incorporating all community funding options previously provided separately by Waitomo District Council.

The new policy is an amalgamation of Council’s community grants and streamlines the process to ensure funding is distributed consistently and effectively, and is transparent, fair and accountable.

The current funding round runs from 1 July 2023 - 1 August 2023 for the following funds:

Single-Year Community Assistance Grant

Community Events Fund
