The TV TakeBack programme has now finished. Waitomo District Council would like to thank the residents who made an effort to safely dispose of their old TVs through the programme.TV Takeback Eric

Waitomo District Council collected 369 TVs and Otorohanga District Council collected 550 TVs... a considerable amount of potentially harmful waste that won’t be going to landfill. These TVs are already entering national recycling facilities, where they will be taken apart and the components recycled.

Do you have electronic equipment that you no longer want or use? The Landfill accepts e-waste for collection, including computers/ screens, fax machines, home whiteware, TVs and electrical cables, basically anything with a plug.
