Leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale

Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.

Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.

The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.

We also ask that you please conserve water as much as possible.

DISCRETIONARY GRANT FUNDING

Closing date is 1st September.

Applications for the September Discretionary Grants funding round are now open. Applications must be received by 5pm, Thursday 1st September.

If you are a community club, group or organisation operating within the Waitomo District on a not for profit basis you may be eligible to apply.

Please take the time to read Council’s Community Development Fund Policy to check your organisation and project eligibility. If you are unsure if your project meets the criteria, then please contact Donna Macdonald on 07 878 0803
