The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on Thursday 4 December 2025 until 2pm.

Metservice has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for our district and is valid until 8pm Tuesday evening. 
A heavy rain watch is also in place and is valid until 3pm Wednesday 3 December

WDC Service Information Auckland Anniversary

Our Queen Street office is closed Monday 30 January. For urgent enquiries please call WDC on 0800 932 4357. 

Waitomo District Aquatic Centre is open from 1pm - 5pm.

Te Kuiti i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is open from 10am - 2pm.

Waitomo District Library is closed.

Waitomo District Landfill is closed.

Kinohaku, Awakino and Marokopa Transfer Stations are open from 9am - 1pm. Benneydale and Piopio Transfer Stations will be closed.

There are no Kerbside Refuse and Recycling Collection Services taking place as per normal.

Waitomo District Mayor, Council members and staff wish you all a happy and safe holiday.
