The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on on Monday 26 January for Auckland Anniversary. All waste transfer stations will also be closed.
We will still be available by phone on 0800 932 4357. More info

Weather Watch - Heavy rain and strong wind
Metservice has issued a heavy rain watch and strong wind watch for our district. The watch is valid from 9am Wednesday, 21 January 2026 to 3am Thursday 22 January.

Dog Control Policy and Practices Report

On 27 August 2019 a report pursuant to Section 10A of the Dog Control Act 1996 was adopted by Council.  The report contains information and statistics on Waitomo District Council’s dog control activity for the year 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019.

A copy of the report can be viewed on our website at www.waitomo.govt.nz or at the Council office, Queen Street, Te Kuiti.
