My principal place of residence is in the Waitomo District Council area.
It’s been a privilege to have led Council for nearly six years. During this time we’ve been through significant challenges, including COVID-19 disruptions and major storm events.
Despite these, we have made great progress, returning Council to core business, bringing debt under control, improving governance and increasing transparency.
While much has been achieved, the job is not done. Significant change is ahead for Council, triggered by water services moving to a new regional entity next year. We need to manage risks that this change brings. Competent and proven leadership is needed.
I was raised in the King Country, have considerable governance experience, am a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a graduate of Massey University (BBS Hons) and the University of Washington (MBA). I have been awarded a QSO for public services.
