My principal place of residence is in the Waitomo Rural Ward area.
With over 20 years of local government experience, I bring a deep understanding of strategic governance and the practical thinking needed to deliver people focused outcomes. I understand the complexities of council decision making and the importance of representing our communities with a future focused mindset.
With growth in our District forecast to remain low, I believe it is essential that Council explores new and sustainable revenue streams to ease the burden on ratepayers and build long term financial resilience.
Reliable core infrastructure, especially roading, stormwater, and waste disposal must be adequately funded. Delayed investment only leads to higher future costs and increased risks.
I support initiatives that drive economic development, diversify Council income, reduce reliance on rates, and stimulate the local economy.
A vote for me is a vote for future proofing Council’s finances, improving essential services, and protecting our environment, ensuring a resilient and thriving Rural Waitomo.
