Waitomo District Council

Te Kūiti Ward
Electing 3 Councillors

My principal place of residence is not in the Te Kūiti Ward area.
I grew up on the family farm just north of Te Kūiti where I live with my wife and children. I started my working life as a presser in a shearing gang before going on to spend 21 years working as a tour guide at Waitomo predominately in adventure tourism becoming an operations manager. I have been involved in a number of local organisations in Te Kūiti including the Te Kūiti Historical Society for 30 years becoming vice chairman, Te Kūiti Pipe Band for 41 years becoming drum major and vice president, I am also vice president of the Te Kūiti Returned and Services Association. I was also involved with civil defense during Cyclone Gabriel 2023.
I am now looking at giving something back to the town that I grew up near.
