Mangarino Road is currently closed due to a slip from the recent heavy rain. The location of this is just past the Te Kūiti Cemetery and Reynolds Road.
A geotech engineer will be on site today to further assess.

Let's talk compost

Join sustainability consultant, permaculture designer, educator and environmental activist Leo Murray of Why Waste, as we spend a morning exploring the link between the future of Papatūānuku and the fertility in our soil.
With a focus on at home and on the go solutions, Leo will go through the various approaches to reducing waste, as well as bringing us up to speed on the ongoing mystery of compostable plastics.
Tickets to this event are $10 and attendees will receive discounts to a range of composting products at the end of the workshop.
This event is subsidised through the Waitomo District Council's Waste Minimisation Levy funding.
