Saturday 10 June 2023 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Join Coastcare - Waikato, lovely locals & the the Tahi Hohaia Hikoia Whanau as we work to restore the coast at Kiritehere. We have >1500 foredune grasses to plant to help strengthen the foredune system at this site and need your help.
Fingers crossed for sunshine! We'll have some spades available, but please bring your lunch, water bottle, gloves if you want them and make sure to wear suitable clothing.
The Tahi Hohaia Hikoia Whanau are hosting this event and invite you to join shared kai after planting - please bring a plate to share.
To protect the health of ourselves and our restoration sites, we ask that you arrive with clean footwear and equipment and stay home if you feel unwell.
Postponements due to weather will be posted on this page.
Please note there's no cell reception at this site so take a careful look at the directions before coming out and make sure to come to take Soundy road to Kiritehere beach.
