Kiritehere coastal planting bee

Sunday 28 May 2023 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Join us at this Coastcare - Waikato planting bee to continue the restoration of this stunning site! We'll be focusing on the north side of the river by the newly fenced off urupa - a special site that has potential for great restoration results. We have 550 new baby plants to get in the ground in the morning and will hand-release previous plantings in the afternoon. Come for all or some of the day.
To protect the health of ourselves and our restoration sites, we ask that you arrive with clean footwear and equipment and stay home if you feel unwell.
Fingers crossed for sunshine! We'll have some spades and snacks but please wear footwear suitable for digging, bring a water bottle, a spade if you have one and gloves if you want them.
The Tahi Hohaia Hikoia Whanau are hosting this event and invite you to join shared kai after planting - please bring a plate to share.
Any postponement due to weather will be posted on this page.
