Change of Dog Owner Details Information:

Change of Address

If you change your address, you are required by the Dog Control Act 1996 to advise us within 14 days. Please complete the following form so that your record can be updated.

If you own a dog and are moving or have moved, please advise us of your new address in writing within 14 days

Change of Owner

If you sell or give your dog away, you are required by the Dog Control Act 1996 to provide details of the new owner and the address at which the dog will be kept. Please complete the following form and we will transfer your dog's records to the new owner, or if appropriate to the relevant Council.

If you sell a dog that is 3 months of age or older, it must be registered for the current registration year.  Both you and the new owner must inform us in writing, within 14 days of change of ownership.  Include the address of the new owner and the property address where the dog will normally be kept.
