When do I update dog owner details?

Address changes (Within Waitomo District)

You are legally required to update your address when your dog moves to a new property. Council must be notified in writing within 14 days of moving.

Address changes (Moving out of the District)

When your dog moves to a new district, you must notify both councils in writing within six weeks.

Updating Contact Details

Has your mobile number changed?

This is the most important contact detail to have accurate on your registration. This enables our staff to contact you if there is an emergency with your dog. Remember to let our team know if your mobile number or email address has changed.
