Water Alert Level 2 - PIopio
Due to operational issues and the current hot weather, Piopio township will move into Level 2 water restriction from tomorrow - Friday 6 February 2026.
Water conservation measures are required to reduce demand on the water treatment plant. We ask Piopio residents to be mindful of their water use.
Water shutdown notice - William Street and adjoining streets
A water shutdown will be happening from 9am to 3.30pm today along William Street and adjoining streets. This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to commission a new watermain line. Thank you for your understanding.

Te Kuiti Swimming Pool

The Te Kuiti Swimming Pool is now running Learn to Swim lessons. Learn to Swim teaches skills from basic water confidence to stroke development.

The cost is $9.00 per Lesson or $90.00 for the full programme. Level 1 will be $45.00 for the full programme.

We will be holding Learn to Swim assessments on Monday the 4th of February to Friday 8th February, after 3pm. The assessments are for children who are new to the area and want to do Learn to Swim lessons.

Get in quick places are limited - first come first served.

Registrations close Friday 11th November.

For more information and to register your child, please call the pool on 07 878 8803, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Level 1

Lessons will start on the Monday 11th February to Monday 11th March. Lessons are once a week every Monday.

Times: 3.30pm-4pm, 4pm-4.30pm, 4.30pm-5pm. For children aged 4 years and over. 

Level 2

Lessons will start on Monday 11th February to Wednesday 13th March. Lessons are held on Monday and Wednesday.

Times: 3.30pm-4pm, 4pm-4.30pm, 4.30pm-5pm.

Level 3 - 5

Lessons will start on Monday 28th January to Wednesday 27th February. Lessons are held on Monday and Wednesday.

Times: 3.30pm-4pm, 4pm-4.30pm, 4.30pm-5pm.
