Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.
Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.
The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.
An update on the repairs to our town clock.
Pilbrows Watchmakers in Taupo have our beloved clock in hand. Repairs to the frame are close to being completed, and when parts from the United Kingdom arrive, the clock can be fitted and tested. We estimate the clock is just over a month away from returning.
