Planned Water shutdown notice - Tuesday 17 February 2026
A day-long water shutdown will be happening on Tuesday 17 February from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Boddies Terrace, Wesley Terrace, Tawa Street, Matai Street, William Street and Anzac Street.  This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to install a new watermain line. Plantings enhance town entrance

Waitomo District Council has joined forces with Claymark to beautify the northern entrance to Te Kūiti along State Highway 3.
Claymark, a local company which manufactures and distributes premium pine products, has supplied the bark, weed mats, and plants, while our council team is undertaking traffic management and labour.
We are looking forward to seeing a nice improvement to the look of our town😊
