Large scale works along Carroll Street/SH3 in New Year

Significant traffic diversions will be in place in the New Year as large-scale works will be undertaken along Carroll Street/SH3 in Te Kūiti. From mid-January 2025, Carroll Street/SH3 will be reduced to one lane to allow for Council’s contractor Camex Civil to replace a large watermain. Read more

Road works at Rora Street level crossing
Higgins Contractors will be undertaking a full replacement of the Rora Street level crossing near Te Kūiti Primary School. The work will be carried out over two days from 5am on Sunday 19 January 2025 through to midnight on Monday 20 January. Traffic diversions will be in place.
Please note this work is separate to the railway crossing works being undertaken by Fulton Hogan at the southern end of Rora Street at the same time.

REMINDER - DOG REGISTRATION

This is a friendly reminder that all dogs over the age of three months must be registered with Waitomo District Council by 31 July 2016. A 50% penalty fee will be applied to all unpaid registrations received after 31 July 2016.

You should have received your dog registration form in the mail. If you have not, please contact us straight away.

COUNCIL ADOPTS ANNUAL PLAN 

On Tuesday 28 June 2016 Council adopted the following:

• Exceptions Annual Plan 2016/17,

• Trade Waste Bylaw 2006 (Amended 2016) effective 1 July 2016, and

• Dangerous and Insanitary Buildings Policy effective 1 July 2016.

Waitomo District Council’s Fees and Charges have also been reviewed to reflect the cost of providing services, in line with Council’s Revenue and Financing Policy. The updated Fees and Charges schedule applies from 1 July 2016.
