The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on on Friday 6 February for Waitangi Day. All waste transfer stations will also be closed.

Change of days to temporary Awakino Waste Transfer Station schedule
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to change the open days of the Awakino Waste Transfer Station for the last week of the extended holiday schedule.
It will now open from 9am to 1pm on the following days:
Sunday
Monday
Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday
The normal schedule will for Awakino Transfer Station will resume Sunday 8 February 2026.

Notice of Inspections and Maintenance - Te Kuiti Water Reticulation Network.

WDC will be undertaking routine inspections and maintenance of valves and hydrants within the Te Kuiti Water Reticulation Network, from Monday 21 August 2017 to Friday 22 September 2017.

While undertaking this work, WDC will make every effort to minimise the impact on supply.  In the event that temporary deterioration of your water quality occurs due to flushing in your street, it is advisable to first run your garden tap then the others for several minutes to remove any air bubbles and to restore water clarity.  Please do not run water through in house filters before taps are running clear.
