Notice of change to transfer station opening hours

WDC conducted a survey of users of the Marokopa transfer station. The results of which have been considered by WDC. The opening hours for Sunday are now 10.00am - 2.00pm.

The Piopio Transfer Station will now open at 8.30am on Monday mornings, and will close at 4.30pm.

Opening hours for other transfer stations remain the same.

Supervision of the transfer stations during opening hours will continue and use of the recycling facilities will be monitored.

Notice of Temporary Closure of Road/Street To Ordinary Vehicular Traffic

PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Waitomo District Council, for the purpose of the Waitomo District Christmas Parade 2017 will close the following roads/streets to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated:

Date: Friday, 8th December 2017

Period of Closure: 4:30pm to 8:00pm

Streets/Roads: Rora Street from Ward Street to South End Loop Road King Street East from Rora Street to Taupiri Street Sheridan Street from Rora Street to Taupiri Street 

Alternative route(s) available: Esplanade to Lawrence Street to Waitete/Awakino Roads or Esplanade to Tammadge Street to Somerville Road to Te Kumi Station Road to SH3.

Alexandra Street to Taupiri Street to Lawrence Street to Awakino Road or Waitete Road.

Te Kumi Road to Carroll Street and Awakino Road or Waitete Road.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority to use the road/street for ordinary vehicular traffic during this period of closure.
