Sport New Zealand Rural Travel Fund

The Waitomo District Council is inviting rural sporting groups and rural school teams to apply for financial assistance through the Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund.

Sport NZ is providing a fund pool of $9,100 for distribution.

The Fund is designed to help subsidise travel for junior teams participating in local sport competitions.

Applications are open to rural sports clubs and rural school teams with young people aged 5-19 years who require subsidies to assist with transport expenses to local sporting competitions.

Please Note: The Sport NZ Rural Travel Fund is not for the purpose of travel to regional or national events or available for individual athletes or players.

Notice for Temporary Closure of Road/Street To Ordinary Vehicular Traffic

PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Waitomo District Council, for the purpose of the Hamilton Car Club Rally 2017 proposes to close the following roads/streets to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated:

Date: Saturday, 14 October 2017

Period of Closure: As indicated at each stage section below

Streets/Roads:

STAGE NAME = SS1Waitewhena Rd, START = RP6.439 at Kumara Rd,  *END = at District Boundary. From 7:30am to 10:30am

STAGE NAME = SS4Ohura Nth Rd, *START = at District Boundary on Matiere Rd,  END = RP6.479 on Mokauiti Rd at turn-off to Oniao Rd. From  11:00am to 2:30pm

STAGE NAME = SS5Pungarehu Rd, START = RP0 at intersection with Mairoa Rd,  END = RP3.0 on Ngapaenga Rd at start of unsealed section. From 1:00pm to 5:00pm

STAGE NAME = SS6Hauturu Rd, START = RP0.2 near Te Anga Rd,  *END = at District Boundary with Otorohanga. From 2:00pm to 5:30pm

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority to use the road/street for ordinary vehicular traffic during this period of closure.
