Council Service Information Anzac Day - 25 April 2018

WDC Office, Waitomo District Library and the rural Waste Transfer Stations will be closed Wednesday 25 April 2018.

Te Kuiti i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is open 10am - 2pm

Waitomo District Aquatic Centre is open 1pm - 5pm.

Waitomo District Landfill is open 1pm - 4pm.


 

Creative Communities Funding Scheme

Applications for financial assistance from individuals, groups or organisations that support and encourage creativity and opportunities to participate in arts activities are now being called for by the Waitomo District Council. Projects must have an arts or creative cultural focus and benefit the Waitomo District Community.

Under the scheme “The Arts” is defined as “all forms of creative and interpretative expression.”

Eligible projects must meet criteria so we encourage community members to take the opportunity to understand what this includes by visiting the WDC website. Please contact Clowdy Ngatai – Community Development Coordinator to discuss your project eligibility and application requirements.

Notice for Temporary Closure of Road/Street To Ordinary Vehicular Traffic

PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Waitomo District Council, for the purpose of the TE KUITI ANZAC PARADE 2018 proposes to temporarily close the following roads/streets to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated:

Date: 25 April 2018

Period of Closure: 6:00 am to 10:30 am

Streets/Roads: King Street East (Taupiri Street to Jennings Street)

Period of Closure: 6:00 am to 7:30 am

Streets/Roads: 32 Taupiri Street to 40 Taupiri Street

Alternative Route/s: Rora Street, Sheridan Street, Esplanade, Lawrence Street

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority to use the road/street for ordinary vehicular traffic during this period of closure.
