Large scale works along Carroll Street/SH3 in New Year

Significant traffic diversions will be in place in the New Year as large-scale works will be undertaken along Carroll Street/SH3 in Te Kūiti. From mid-January 2025, Carroll Street/SH3 will be reduced to one lane to allow for Council’s contractor Camex Civil to replace a large watermain. Read more

Notice for Temporary Closure of Road/Street To Ordinary Vehicular Traffic

PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Waitomo District Council, for the purpose of the The Waitomo District Christmas Parade 2019 will temporarily close the following roads/streets to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated:

Date:  13 December 2019

Period of Closure: 4.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m

Streets/Roads:  Rora Street (from Ward Street to South End Loop)

King Street East (from Rora Street to Taupiri Street)

Alternative Route/s:  Taupiri Street, Te Kuiti.

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person otherwise than under authority to use the road/street for ordinary vehicular traffic during this period of closure.
