Leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale

Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.

Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.

The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.

We also ask that you please conserve water as much as possible.

Waitomo District Aquatic Centre is open from 1pm - 5pm.

Waitomo District Library is closed.

Te Kuiti i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is open 10am - 2pm.

Waitomo District Landfill is closed.

Kinohaku and Marokopa Transfer Stations are open from 9am - 1pm. Benneydale, Awakino and Piopio Transfer Stations are closed.

Kerbside Refuse and Recycling Collection Services - there are no services taking place on this day as per normal.
