Elections Voting Bins
Voting bins at the Te Kūiti Medical Centre, The Warehouse, the Library and Council main office will be removed at 4.30pm on Friday 10 October.
The voting bin will be available at the Customer Services and Visitor Hub on Rora Street from 9am until 12noon on Saturday 11 October - Election day.
Special votes will also be available on Election Day until 12noon.

2020/21 Rates Rebate closing soon

Waitomo District Council is urging ratepayers to check their eligibility for receiving a rates
rebate for the current 2020/21 rating year before the 30 June deadline.
To date Council has processed 295 applications, which is 57 applications less than last year. The rate rebate scheme provides
substantial financial support for many households, the maximum amount people can receive is $655. The value of any rebate is determined by household income, number of dependents and the level of rates being paid.
The rates rebate scheme is paid by Central Government but administered by each
Council. Those eligible, receive a credit on their rates account of up to $655.
Applications close 30 June 2021 and cannot be backdated.
