Slip on Te Waitere Road – please drive safe

Council is aware of a significant slip on Te Waitere Road. Currently the road is down to one lane with priority give way traffic control in place. Given there is poor weather forecast towards the end of the week, we encourage those needing to pass through this site to be vigilant and drive safely and to the conditions.

Mike King's Ride for Hope

Sunday 06 October 2024 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Mike King is touring New Zealand this October to address the growing concern for our young people around mental health and climate change.

After conducting research on the topics that affect Aotearoa’s youth the most, Climate Anxiety and Climate Change ranked highly, so Mike joined forces with Malcom Johns, Genesis CEO, to address this issue and the Ride for Hope was born.
Mike will be riding an UBCO - a small electric motorcycle - around the country from Auckland to Cape Reinga to Bluff and back to Auckland from the 1-29 October stopping in towns and cities along the way to raise awareness and host a series of free community events where all are welcome including kids.
He will also be joined by climate change speakers along the way.
Mike will be in Te Kūiti on Sunday 6 October!!!!!

Please come along to this important event!!!
