Unsealed Roads Network

24 Jun 2013, 10:34 AM

Due to the long period of summer drought experienced across the Waitomo District, the planned grading programme for all unsealed roads was suspended. To go ahead with this work during such conditions would have been ineffective and increase damage to the road surface (pavement).

WDC wish to advise that its’ Contractor is making progress on this essential work with 40% of the programme complete to date. The aim of this programme is to improve the roads network and to remedy areas where corrugation of the pavement has occurred.

WDC appreciates your patience while this work continues. Please call us on free phone 0800 932 4357 if your road’s pavement is causing you concern.
