Water Alert Level 2 - PIopio
Due to operational issues and the current hot weather, Piopio township will move into Level 2 water restriction from tomorrow - Friday 6 February 2026.
Water conservation measures are required to reduce demand on the water treatment plant. We ask Piopio residents to be mindful of their water use.
Water shutdown notice - William Street and adjoining streets
A water shutdown will be happening from 9am to 3.30pm today along William Street and adjoining streets. This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to commission a new watermain line. Thank you for your understanding.

AA Driver Licensing will be closed on Monday 27 January 2014.

Landfill and Transfer Stations

Waitomo District Landfill: Closed

Benneydale Open 9am - 1pm

Kinohaku Open 9am - 1pm

Awakino Open 9am - 1pm

Piopio Open 9am - 1pm

Marokopa Open 9am - 1pm

The Te Kuiti Swimming Pools will be open Monday 27 January 2014 from 1pm - 5pm.

The Te Kuiti Visitor Information Centre (i-SITE) will be open from 10am - 2pm.

The Waitomo District Library will be closed on Monday 27 January 2014.
