Works underway on State Highways

There are various projects currently underway on State Highways in the Waitomo District. Please note that Waitomo District Council does not manage the State Highway network.

State Highway 37. Between intersection of SH37/SH3 to Waitomo township. 27 April 8 July 2016 Lane closures with Stop/Go around work sites.  Speed restrictions in place in sections of the road also.

The following works will be carried out in sections throughout the full length of SH37:  New guardrails, signage and line marking to be installed along with widening of the road.   Transfield Services
State Highway 3 Between Otorohanga and Hangatiki roundabout 6 June 2016  7 June 2016 Lane closure with Stop/Go.  Speed restriction around work site.

Cleaning of water tables/drains within area described. Inframax
State Highway 30 Bennydale township  6 June 2016  10 June 2016  Lane closure with Stop/Go in place. Speed restriction around work site.  Installation of new culvert running across the road. Traffic Management NZ 
State Highway 3. Outside Bosco's Cafe, Te Kuiti 7 June 2016  8 June 2016  Lane closure with Stop/Go.  Speed restriction around work site also.  Hot mix repairs to road surface.  Inframax 
State Highway 4. Approx 100m from SH3/Sh4 intersection 7 June 2016  9 June 2016  Lane closure with Stop/Go in place.  Speed restriction around the work site.  Installation of new guardrail leading up to, across and after bridge the bridge.  Inframax 
State Highway 3 Te Kuiti  7 June 2016  17 June 2016  Lane closure with Stop/Go in place.  Speed restriction around work site.  Repair work to failed areas of recent works.  Transfield Services
