Waitomo District Council is currently reinstating part of the Railway Station Plaza on a temporary basis. Parts of the Railway Station Plaza will be affected on an ongoing basis by building restoration and construction work.

The seats have been painted, new rubbish bins installed, and the existing garden beds will be planted out in front of buildings 2 and 3.

Council will also carry out essential maintenance work to the paved area and gardens adjacent to the car parks on Rora Street.  

We want the public to be safe, so please take extra care when in the vicinity of the Railway Plaza.
