Leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale

Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.

Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.

The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.

Sign unveiled at Te Kūiti Cemetery

The services section of Te Kūiti Cemetery now has the appropriate recognition thanks to the support of Te Tira Ahu Ika A Whiro – Veterans’ Affairs New Zealand.
Veterans’ Affairs has been working with Council and VJ Williams and Sons to provide and install the sign as a permanent acknowledgement of our service men and women who are laid to rest at Te Kūiti Cemetery.
The sign was unveiled on ANZAC Day.
Ka maumahara tonu tātou ki a rātou.
We will remember them.
