Leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale

Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.

Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.

The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.

We also ask that you please conserve water as much as possible.

New Bus Service - Te Kūiti to Hamilton and return

Starting Monday 13 February.

Great News!!! Waikato Regional Council’s BUSIT service is extending to include Te Kūiti.

The 26 Te Kūiti Connector service will travel between Te Kūiti and Hamilton, stopping in Ōtorohanga, Kihikihi, Te Awamutu and Ohaupo, weekdays only (excluding public holidays).
The bus will depart from Te Kūiti i-SITE each weekday morning at 6.50am and returns to the i-SITE around 6.47pm.
