SH3 temporarily open from Piopio to Mōkau
NZTA Update: 5.45pm, Saturday 5 July.

Due to slips and other weather related issues, state highway 3 has temporarily OPENED between Piopio and Mōkau. The road will CLOSE again at 7am 6 July.

Creative Communities Funding Scheme

Applications for financial assistance for groups and organisations that support and encourage creativity and opportunities to participate in arts activities are now being called for by the Waitomo District Council.

Under the scheme ‘The Arts” is defined as “all forms of creative and interpretative expression.”

Eligible projects must meet one or more of the following criteria:

1. Broad Community Involvement – Create opportunities for local communities.

2. Diversity – Support diverse arts and cultural traditions of local communities.

3. Young People – Projects will enable and encourage young people (Under 18) to engage and participate in the arts.
