Planned Water shutdown notice - Tuesday 17 February 2026
A day-long water shutdown will be happening on Tuesday 17 February from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Boddies Terrace, Wesley Terrace, Tawa Street, Matai Street, William Street and Anzac Street.  This is to allow council contractor Schick Civil to install a new watermain line. Thank you for your understanding.

Transfer Station operating hours

Mokau/Awakino Transfer Station

Temporary change to opening hours. The transfer station will be open Sundays - 12 noon to 4pm, and Mondays - 9am to 1pm, and closed on a Wednesday and Saturday.

Marokopa Transfer Station

Sunday opening hours are now 10am to 2pm. Piopio Transfer StationMonday opening hours are now 8.30am to 4.30pm. 

Opening hours for Kinohaku and Benneydale remain the same. Supervision of all transfer stations during opening hours will continue and use of the recycling facilities will be monitored.
