Leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale

Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group are planning to carry out water leak detection in Maniaiti/Benneydale starting this Friday, 19 September 2025.

Leak detection helps identify where there could be faults in the network and can also help determine where water loss is occurring.

The leak detection investigation will occur from 8am to 5pm and although there will be a temporary interruption to water supply, it should not overly disrupt or interfere with normal usage.

We also ask that you please conserve water as much as possible.

Proposal for Temporary Closure of Road/Street To Ordinary Vehicular Traffic

PURSUANT to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that the Waitomo District Council, for the purpose of the The Great New Zealand Muster 2018 proposes to temporarily close the following roads/streets to ordinary vehicular traffic for the periods indicated:

Date:     7 April 2018

Period of Closure: 7.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m

Streets/Roads:  Rora Street (from Ward Street to South End Loop)

King Street East (from Rora Street to Taupiri Street)

Sheridan Street (from Rora Street to Taupiri Street)

Alternative Route/s: Alexandra Street to Taupiri Street to Lawrence Street to Awakino Road, Carroll Street or Waitete Road.

Any person objecting to the proposal is called upon to lodge notice of objection and grounds thereof in writing, before 5.00 p.m, Friday, 9 March 2018 at the office of Waitomo District Council, Queen Street, Te Kuiti.
