Waka Kotahi works underway on Carroll Street (SH3)

1 Jun 2021, 3:58 PM

Work is currently underway on a section of Carroll Street (SH3) with Waka Kotahi – NZTA installing subsoil drains along both sides of the road.

The work – between King Street West and Ward Street – started today and will continue during daylight hours from 8am to 5pm during week days only.

During this time, the Ward Street Level Crossing will be closed, and a section of Carroll Street (SH3) reduced to one lane for up to four weeks to allow to the work to be completed.

This work is being completed by Ventia on behalf of Waka Kotahi.

While this is not a WDC project, we acknowledge the impact this may have on our community and those travelling through Te Kuiti.

Delays are expected but they shouldn’t be excessive.

Thank you for your cooperation.
