Annual Plan

Waitomo District Council adopted its Annual Plan 2026/2027 on 30 June 2026. Council also adopted the revised Revenue and Financing Policy, and Significance and Engagement Policy. The Annual Plan (digital version) is made available on our website www.waitomo.govt. nz.

Fees and Charges

On 30 June 2026, Council adopted the fees and charges for 2026/27. These fees and charges apply from 1 July 2026. Due to the impact of rising costs Council has increased most fees and charges by 3% in line with inflation. This ensures costs are recovered so that Council services are not subsidised further by rates.

The most significant changes are:

Consenting fees increases of 5%- PIM charge for granny flats- Landfill and rubbish bags
