Water shutdown for leak detection in Piopio
Waitomo District Council contractor McIndoe Group will be carrying out leak detection on the water reticulation at Piopio this week.
It will be carried out at night time between 8pm-2am, from Tuesday night to Thursday night.

Let's talk compost

Join sustainability consultant, permaculture designer, educator and environmental activist Leo Murray of Why Waste, as we spend a morning exploring the link between the future of Papatūānuku and the fertility in our soil.
With a focus on at home and on the go solutions, Leo will go through the various approaches to reducing waste, as well as bringing us up to speed on the ongoing mystery of compostable plastics.
Tickets to this event are $10 and attendees will receive discounts to a range of composting products at the end of the workshop.
This event is subsidised through the Waitomo District Council's Waste Minimisation Levy funding.
