Upcoming road closure of Walker Road, Te Kūiti – Saturday 17 May 2025

Walker Road will be closed on Saturday 17 May 2025 from 7am to 6pm to allow Bridge It NZ to install a bridge. Works have scheduled to be undertaken on Saturday due to the current roads works on Rangitoto Road. Walker Road will be closed 7.8km from the William Street and Walker Road intersection.

Waitomo District Citizens Awards

Sunday 04 July 2021 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

The Waitomo District Citizens Awards will be held at the Les Munro Centre on Sunday 4 July at 2pm where five residents will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award and one resident will receive the award for Waitomo District Citizen.

The Awards take place on a biennial basis with recipients being selected by Waitomo residents via a formal nomination process.

Family, friends and supporters are welcome to attend the Award celebrations. Please RSVP to Manager Community Development Clowdy Ngatai if you wish to attend.
