The WDC Customer Services and Visitor Hub, Waitomo District Library and Admin Building will be closed on Thursday 4 December 2025 until 2pm.

Grand Opening - Gallagher Recreation Centre

An open invitation to attend the karakia blessing and grand opening of the Gallagher Recreation Centre, and unveiling of the name gifted by Ngāti Rōrā.
It will be a day full of festivities and entertainment!
Saturday 11 February 2023 from 6am

Please gather at the recreation centre by 5.40am in preparation for the karakia at 6am.

The day will continue with entertainment and an exciting game of netball between Waikato-BOP Magic and Northern Stars.
