Postponement again of official opening and blessing of the Mangaokewa Walkway Cultural Storyboards

Waitomo District Council, with the support of Ngāti Rōrā, have made a call to POSTPONE the official opening and blessing of the Mangaokewa Walkway Cultural Storyboards for the second time.This is due to the heavy rain forecast for the rest of the week. The ground will be wet and the weather looks worse for Friday (26 September 2025). It's important to us that this significant occasion is done correctly. We will schedule another blessing to be held later in the year when the weather has improved.

DC Tynan Trust Fund closes

Applications close 5pm on Friday 1 August 2025.
The trustees of the DC Tynan Trust invite community organisations within Te Kūiti Urban Ward that are involved in the delivery or support of social, cultural, educational and recreational activities to apply for funding. Priority will be given to projects of a capital nature.
Applications must be received by 5pm on 1 August 2025.
