Heavy Rain Watch - What you need to know

Metservice NZ has issued a Heavy Rain Watch for the Waikato region, in place from 2am–3pm, Wednesday 1 February.

Given the large amount of rainfall that our district has experienced over the past few days, we are urging residents to continue to take care and stay aware of the conditions in their area. Further rainfall could quickly exacerbate existing slips, river levels and produce further flooding quite quickly.

Waitomo District Aquatic Centre

Community Leisure Management (CLM) are managing the day to day operation of the aquatic centre on behalf of Waitomo District Council. CLM provide a range of activities for the summer season, including swimming lessons, aquatic exercise classes and the popular ‘Wave Rave’ pool party for the kids.

Seniors $3.00
Disability/health (green script of letter from health professional required) $2.00

Learn to Swim Classes (per lesson) $12.00 
Hire of whole complex (per hour) under 50 swimmers $100.00 per hour + $30.00 for lifeguard per hour.
Hire of whole complex (per hour) over 50 swimmers $100.00 per hour + $30.00 for lifeguard per hour. For example 300 people would require 6 lifeguards.
Lane Hire (per lane per hour)  $16.00 
Lane Hire for swimming club (per lane per hour)  $12.00 
Schools Base Fee (per hour)  $35.00 per hour + $30.00 per lifeguard per hour 
BBQ Hire (per hour)  $30.00 per hour + a refundable cleaning bond of $20.00
